Before using the product, here's what you should know.

What Hedgster does

Hedgster provides tools, calculations, visualizations, and information intended to help users explore investment portfolios and understand possible exposures, concentrations, and risks. The product is designed for informational and educational purposes.

Not personalized investment advice

Hedgster is not intended to provide individualized investment, legal, or tax advice.

Its analyses, scores, estimates, and other outputs should not be treated as instructions to buy, sell, or hold any financial instrument.

You are responsible for evaluating investment decisions based on your circumstances and, when appropriate, consulting a qualified professional.

Accuracy and limitations

We work to make Hedgster useful and reliable, but financial information, market data, assumptions, calculations, and models may contain errors, omissions, or delays.

Some analyses rely on historical information, simplified assumptions, or user-provided data. Actual market outcomes may differ significantly.

All investing involves risk, including possible loss of principal. Past performance does not guarantee future results.

Always verify important information independently before acting on it.

Your responsibilities

You agree to use Hedgster lawfully and responsibly.

You are responsible for the accuracy of information you submit, securing your account if accounts are supported, and ensuring that you have permission to use any data you provide.

You must not attempt to compromise the service, interfere with other users, or misuse its infrastructure.

Ownership and permitted use

The Hedgster brand, website design, software, and original content are owned by their respective rights holders or licensed for use.

You may use the service for its intended purposes, subject to these terms. You may not unlawfully reproduce, redistribute, reverse-engineer, or exploit protected parts of the service. You retain applicable rights to data you submit.

Third-party information and services

Some functionality may rely on third-party market data, external websites, or service providers. We are not responsible for third-party information or services beyond the extent required by applicable law.

Separate third-party terms may apply when you choose to use those services.

Service availability

Hedgster may evolve over time.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features, including experimental or preview functionality. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that every feature will remain available.

Disclaimer of warranties

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Hedgster is provided on an "as available" and "as is" basis, without warranties that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for a particular investment purpose.

Nothing in these terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the person or entity operating Hedgster and those involved in providing the service are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from use of the service, including losses resulting from reliance on portfolio analyses or inaccurate information.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Subscriptions

The Hedgster app is free to download. Hedgster Plus and Pro are optional subscriptions purchased in the app through Apple. Prices are shown in the app before you subscribe. Billing, renewals and cancellations are handled in your Apple ID settings.

The founding-member offer

Before Hedgster launched, people who left their email in the Hedgster chat became founding members. Sign-ups for the offer closed when Hedgster launched on the App Store. The chat no longer collects email addresses.

After the free period, Plus renews at the standard price shown in the app, currently $9.99 per month, billed through your Apple ID. You can cancel in your Apple ID settings before the free period ends without being charged.

One offer per person. It isn't transferable and has no cash value.

Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms as the product evolves. The updated effective date will be shown on this page. If changes materially affect your rights, we will provide appropriate notice where required by law.
